As many of my friends and family already know my little boy has been really sick. Yes he has asthnma but it has been over 2 years since his last major full blown attack! Knock on wood we can go another 2 years before the next one.. or I have an even better idea lets not have this again. It started Sunday night, Im pretty good about staying on top of it but this time it got out of control. Monday night we end up in the er.. Thats the pic you see. They wanted to put him in the hospitall but since they seemed to manage it pretty fast they went ahead and let us go home! Sometimes I wish they would just keep him. Then maybe I would have some help. Dont get me wrong I have tons of really awesome neighbors that will drop everything and come running but I would much rather have my hubby here to calm me down. I tend to freak and get emotional when I dont know what to do. So im an asthma nazi. Im on it like jelly on peanut butter. We have done this before but I knew from Monday that this was different and that something else was going on. They didnt do a chest xray Monday night so I made an appointment and took him in to the dr for them pretty much to do NOTHING. Keep giving him his treatments every two to three hours.. REALLY how high can one little kid get and be able to handle from all the treatments.. Yesterday the fever shows up and gets as high as 103. 2. So of course im freaking Now What? So there is something really behind this episode. So what is it and why has the er and dr missed it. Really do I have to do everything on my own. They look at me like im crazy when I tell them No thats not right. I know my kid and there is something that has to be causing this... But what do I know Im just the Mommy right.. So here we are Wednesday.. Day 3 still having asthma running a fever and completely exhausted. Whats the point in even going back in right, they will just tell me give him medication for the fever and continue the treatments! oh and did I mention that they put him on 30mg of prednisone (steroids) a day for the next 4 days. Ok fine Ill do what you say, but I still say you are wrong.. The prednisone is doing an awesome job of keeping his airways open even though he continues to labor to breathe he is moving air.. My poor little baby boy. Wish us luck ... We go back to the dr tomorrow morning at 9am! This time to see his peds dr. I hope this isnt the flu. so backtrack update... I'm fostering a new dog which makes 5 , my kid is really sick!, I watching Nena for a couple of hours today, my house is a wreck, oh and did I mention that we bought a new truck a Ford F250! I'm about to go into hibernation. Wake me up when summer gets here!!
